UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones might delete a lot of his Twitter posts, but not everything.

Jones, who will face Daniel Cormier in September at UFC 178, posted a video of himself getting stitched up after suffering a deep cut over his left eye recently.

“Bones” suffered a nasty cut over his right eye last year during a win over Alexander Gustafsson.

Lance Pugmire, MMA writer for the LA Times, asked Dana White about the injury. White told him that we are “far enough away from the fight that he’ll be OK” to keep the planned date intact.

In an update to the original video, Jones posted a second one. It shows that the first one was taken backwards, meaning the stitches did go in over his right eye.

“This is a completely different scar than the one I had in that area previously. They’re not even touching. The four stitches will be out in four days,” he wrote. “The wound should be healed within a week. Time for me to start wearing my head gear.”
