Now that UFC 164 is in the books, the promotion will continue rounding out the line-up for it’s upcoming fall schedule, which is looking pretty stacked. While the card for UFC 167 on November 16th is already off to a great start (GSP-Hendricks, MacDonald-Lawler), Chael Sonnen and Rashad Evans recently relayed they’re also interested in throwing down at the event. So will it happen?

Well, while speaking after UFC 164, here’s what Dana White had to say about the proposed Sonnen-Evans bout, which of course, “The American Gangster” raised just days ago (quotes via MMA

“That fight, I started talking to them about it a couple of days ago in Indianapolis and we started talking about some other options as well,” said White. “So I said let’s shut this thing down and get through this weekend and let me get back to Vegas. Me, Lorenzo (Fertitta) and Joe Silva will sit down and see what we want to do.”

“It could happen,” he continued. “I don’t hate it.”

Since UFC 167 will also mark the promotion’s 20th anniversary, chances are the UFC will look to stack the card with several high profile fights. Otherwise, one might wonder whether they would look to put Sonnen-Evans on another card, which already doesn’t feature two big name bouts.

UFC 167 will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Stay tuned to Caged for more on this story and all your UFC news.
