As you probably know, Dana White is a fan of what Roy Nelson brings in the Octagon, thus a new multi-fight deal, but he’s not exactly a big supporter of everything the heavyweight says.  Well, now it looks like “Big Country’s” said something again that didn’t sit too well with the UFC boss.

Following his one sided, unanimous decision loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 166, Nelson reportedly relayed (comments via MMA

“He didn’t engage me really,” Nelson said. “That’s not to take anything away from Cormier, but it’s tough to fight like that. He’s a great fighter, but it’s frustrating.”

When informed of Nelson’s comments, White fired away at the feared slugger by stating:

“He said Cormier wasn’t engaging enough,” White said. “He outwrestled him, and he punched the living s–t out of him. How much more does he want to be engaged? He says some dumb s–t, and he’s very delusional.

“He says we’ve never given him a title shot when we should have given him a title shot. Every time you get that close to a title shot, you get beat by the best in the world. That’s why you’ve never had a title shot.”

Wow. It should be noted that White did credit Nelson for his toughness and chin, which was on full display once again last night. While Cormier was  the favourite heading into last night’s scrap, it was big setback for Nelson, who’s now lost two straight.
