At a recent press conference to promote UFC 196, Conor McGregor ripped the marketing department of the UFC.

McGregor, the reigning featherweight champion, complained that he was not billed as a “champion” ahead of his title fight vs. lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

While it’s true that the belt worn by “Notorious” will not be on the line, many agreed with his remarks.

Well, somebody – likely UFC president Dana White – must have sent a memo down to the folks in marketing because the new UFC 196 poster shows McGregor and dos Anjos with their titles, along with the caption “Champion vs. Champion.”
