You know him and love him as the ultra-talented striker with amazing head-movement skills, but believe not, TUF runner-up Uriah Hall knows an awful lot about the submission game as well. Take his minor league fight against Daniel Akinyemi as an example. The bout, which took place at Ring of Combat 39 in Atlantic City, N.J. on February 10, 2012, saw the heavily favored Hall eat some serious leather on the feet courtesy of a fighter few knew about (Akinyemi was a paramedic in his day job, and only fought infrequently). But despite the punishment he was taking – or perhaps because of it – Hall turned to his grappling, and it was there that he found success.
