In most sports, an athlete of Anderson Silva’s stature and accomplishments and age is put out to stud, where he’d spend the rest of his days breeding with women and hopefully producing future superstar fighters.
But this is MMA, a sport where we eat our legends (see: BJ Penn), so the Brazilian is going to be once more climbing into the Octagon this weekend at UFC 208. His opponent is Derek Brunson, who, though coming off a lost to Robert Whittaker, is pretty adapt at knocking dudes silly. So, yeah, this could be a sad weekend for Silva fans…
