Like an old Black and Decker power saw sitting in your garage that you used to build a deck and put an extension on your house, Jeremy Stephens has been one of the UFC’s more dependable and competent fighters, always good for filling out a card with a bout that gets the crowd going. But like that Black and Decker power saw, Stephens will never be a UFC champ. I mean, one’s a tool you buy at Home Depot, and the other will never beat any of the organization’s truly elite.
And yet that’s okay, because whenever the UFC needs a good scrap on one of their cards, there’s Stephens, ready to throw down.
Such is the case with UFC 215 this weekend. Gilbert Melendez needs a fight, so guess who has the honors?
Anyway, here’s Stephens in action.
