It seems Urijah Faber (26-6) will continue his bantamweight journey, as he takes on Vaughan Lee (12-8-1) at UFC 156 on Superbowl weekend, as originally rumored. The information is yet to be verified by the UFC, but is reported by trusted authority, Tatame Magazine (Portuguese). The large Vegas card is expected to headline featherweight champ Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar. For both Faber and Lee, this is a chance to get back in the win column after suffering a loss in their last showing.

Lee will have his chance at vengeance over the Alpha Male camp after losing to TJ Dilashaw. Unfortunately he will now be taking on the leader of the pack, Urijah Faber. Prior to the loss, Lee shocked a lot of people with a win over Norifumi Yamamoto in Japan at UFC 144 with a first round submission.

Faber was looking to finish off a trilogy with his TUF nemesis Dominick Cruz (current champ) at UFC 149, but a torn ACL to the champ led Brazil’s Renan Barao into a interim belt match with Faber instead. Unfortunately for Faber, he would fall short once again to a Nova Uniao Brazilian, as Barao’s advanced striking proved to be too much for him, as he suffered a unanimous decision to the now interim bantamweight champ.
