East coast favorite “New York bad ass” Phil Baroni has verbally agreed to  participate in a UFC fight at the upcoming UFC 118 in Boston, Mass. event said sources close to MMAjunkie.com . An opponent for the event is yet to be named for Baroni (13-12 MMA, 3-6 UFC).

Baroni recently made a return to the UFC back in Nov. where he loss by unanimous decision to the TUF finally winner Amir Saddollah.

UFC 118 has been shaping up very nicely with reported headliners B.J. Penn vs the new lightweight champ Frankie Edgar for the belt, followed by the undefeated Gray Maynard against Kenny “Kenflo” Florian for the number one 155 pound contender. Also rumored on the card is a classic boxing vs MMA fight with Randy Couture vs. James Toney.
