“We’ve verbally agreed to fight Evan Dunham, which is great news,” said Florian. “Phenomenal opponent, which I’m very excited about, and it looks like it may happen on Super Bowl weekend.”
No official word from the UFC organization as of yet, but usually once a fighter says it (true or not), especially on live television, it usually comes to fruition.
Both men will be coming off loses, with Dunhams being more controversial. Dunham lost a decision to Sean Sherk recently at UFC 119 in September. Dunham was humble enough to not contest the decision, despite the obvious lack of approval by the fans for the judges decision.
Kenflo on the other hand lost a one sided battle against undefeated Gray Maynard at UFC 127 in August. A battle in which Maynard imposed his will with superior wrestling. Since the loss, Florian has said that his focus has now shifted into wrestling to address his weakness.
