Two of the fastest paced men in the sport are rumored to be squaring off soon. The last WEC lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis will look to stop the headbanging ‘Carpenter’ Clay Guida. Originally Pettis was scheduled to fight the winner of Gray Maynard – Frankie Edgar for the UFC lightweight title, but following the UFC 125 draw, Pettis will have to wait for their rematch.

Pettis, not looking to put on any ring rust has opted to risk his title shot by fighting Guida, whom recently pulled off a submission guillotine choke over Takanori Gomi in round 2 at UFC 125. The fight is said to be aimed for UFC 130 in May 28 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, Nev. alongside the 2011 UFC Fan Expo.
