Four men walked away with an extra $50,000 after their handywork at UFC on FX 8 in Brazil on Saturday night. It was announced at the post-fight press conference that Vitor Belfort, “Jacare” Souza, Lucas Martins, and Jeremy Larsen each impressed enough to earn the honors for the night’s fight bonuses.

On a night of memorable knockouts, the award for “Knockout of the Night” was given, with no real surprise, to Vitor Belfort for unleashing a beautiful spinning heel kick to the jaw of Luke Rockhold. After putting his opponent down, Belfort then swarmed the American and separated him from his senses with punches on the ground.

“Submission of the Night” was another no-brainer, as former Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, “Jacare” Souza, also put his opponent to sleep with an arm-triangle in the first round. After an excellent trip and a series of scrambles, “Jacare” ended in a perfect position to easily apply the submission on Chris Camozzi, who opted to go unconscious instead of tapping.

The final bonus, “Fight of the Night”, was awarded to the two men who opened the event. Lucas Martins and Jeremy Larsen each made 50k aftter a back-and-forth battle that saw Martins come back from two knockdowns and score a third-round knockout.
