In what commentator Joe Rogan called an “A-Plus” effort, Robbie Lawler scored the 18th stoppage of his MMA career against Bobby Voelker in the tenth bout (and second bout of the televised main card) of UFC on Fox 8.

Lawler’s attack was measured and vicious from the opening bell, landing punches, kicks and elbows throughout the first two rounds. A round one takedown was followed with a nasty knee to the body. Voelker made it back to his feet but could afford little counter attack.

Lawler attempted high kicks in round one but none landed cleanly like the one he threw early in the second. The left high kick bounced off Voelker’s temple, and dropped him to the mat. Lawler quickly followed up with punches, prompting referee Dan Miragliotta to call a halt to the bout at 0:24 into the second round.

Robbie Lawler defeats Bobby Voelker by T/KO at 0:24 of the second round at UFC on Fox 8.
