Ryan Bader will have a chance to redeem himself on a FOX card, but it most likely will not take place on the televised portion. He will be taking on light-heavyweight veteran Vladimir Matyushenko in his next fight on UFC on FOX 6. A welterweight battle was also added to the card, as David Mitchell and Simeon Thoresen will face-off, both looking to get back into the win column. UFC on FOX 6 takes place in Chicago, Illinois on January 26th. The FOX fight card is headlined by a flyweight title bout between champion Demetrious Johnson and challenger John Dodson.

Ryan Bader has been on the periphery of the top five of the lightweight division for a long time, but losses have now set him back. While he started his career out at 12-0, Bader has had some trouble since then. Over his last five fights he has went 2-3. Matyushenko on the other hand has been looking to just get back into the octagon. He may have lost his last fight, but that was almost over a year ago. Since coming back to the UFC he has went 4-2, with his only losses coming to current champion Jon Jones and current contender Alexander Gustafsson. Not bad for a 41 year old veteran.

Simeon Thoresen started off his UFC career right with a second round submission victory. Unfortunately, in his next fight he ran into the fist of Seth Baczynski which knocked Thoresen out cold. While his opponent Mitchell has not been finished in his two UFC bouts, he has not won either. Also, when he takes this fight it will be just his third int he last three years. It is quite possible that whoever losses this bout will be out of the UFC, and neither of them will want that.
