Eric Spicely was no great shakes as a competitor on TUF, and his first fight in the UFC proper didn’t go so well for him. But something happened on his way to the unemployment line, and he’s become a submission machine, finishing Thiago Santos in his last outing. Tonight, his opponent is Italian Alessio Di Chirico – can Di Chirico avoid getting caught?

Um, nope.

Di Chirico comes out looking to strike, and Spicely comes out looking to tie up, and the end result is Di Chirico reversing a trip and ending up on top when they go down. But Spicely wastes no time throwing up a triangle, and soon the Italian is left with no choice but to tap out. Who is this new Eric Spicely?
