At one time, Glover Teixeira was the top contender in a division owned by Jon Jones. Then Jones crushed him, and the Brazilian went on to lose a decision to Phil Davis, and it seemed like that was all the greatness we were going to get out of him.

But he’s since notched wins against Ovince St. Preux and Pat Cummings, and with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson no longer headlining this Saturday’s UFC on FOX 19 card, we’ll instead get Teixeira versus Rashad Evans.

Maybe. If Evans looks more like his old self than the tired version of late, and Teixeira is truly back to his badass ways, we might really see a solid scrap in the main event. Or not.

Either way, here’s an example of Teixeira’s handiwork.
