Paul Felder had a rough night at UFC Fight Night 95 in Brazil.

First, he was getting his ass kicked pretty thoroughly by Francisco Trinaldo, with the Brazilian simply ignoring Felder’s vaunted Muay Thai prowess and brawling. From the outset, the American was getting marked up, and while he’s got some of the best technical striking in the game – he went the distance with highly-ranked Edson Barboza! – Trinaldo had done his homework and timed every clubbing counter to key off of Felder’s kicks.

Against the cage the Brazilian was a grinder, digging in with knees. By Round 3, Felder looked like he’d been ridden hard like a saddle and put away wet.

Then came the massive cut over Felder’s eye that forced the doctor to call the bout at 2:33 of the round.

Yeesh, what a night.
