The main event of UFC Fight Night 95 went pretty much as expected.
Cris Cyborg, long heralded as one of the best female fighters on the planet, utilized her deadly striking and crushing physicality to utterly own and destroy an overmatched Lina Lansberg.
Sure, Lansberg survived into the second round, but there’s no added prize for accomplishing that, is there?
Round 1 had Cyborg doing work against the cage, punishing her foe with her short-range arsenal while waiting for a takedown to present itself. It did, and Cyborg finished out the round in mount, pounding away while Lansberg struggled to survive.
Cyborg tenderized Landsberg with kicks and punches in the second before scoring a takedown, and this time there was no surviving the onslaught. The referee jumped in at 2:29 of the round.
So Cyborg won. Who’s next?
