When he first showed up in the UFC, he was a WEC refugee and experienced veteran of the UK scene. And dammit, did Brad Pickett have promise.

He could strike with accuracy and skill, he had a repertoire of submissions to call upon, and he was tough as nails and capable of outlasting anyone.

But now he sucks.

Well, maybe “sucks” is too harsh. He’s still dangerous, and smart in the cage. It’s just that we saw him hit his ceiling a while ago, and now whatever we get is usually a prime example of a man doing his best when his best is nowhere near as good enough.

Pickett takes on Francisco Rivera in the opening bout of tomorrow’s UFC Fight Night 84 main card, and because of that, he makes an appearance on the Embedded episode below. Watch it, and imagine what this world would be like if Pickett had reached his full potential.
