Donald Cerrone was supposed to headline this event opposite Tim Means, but USADA determined that Means had too many goofballs in his system, so the UFC got Brazilian Alex “Cowboy” Oliveira to take on Cerrone. Obviously, experience should favor the American “Cowboy”, but who knows with cowboys.

It takes all of two seconds for these guys to Thai clinch each other and start firing off knees. When they separate, Oliveira’s long punches give him an edge – which Cerrone responds to by scoring a takedown, sliding into mount, and rolling into a triangle choke. The Brazilian quickly taps out.

Result: Donald Cerrone def. Alex Oliveira via Submission (Triangle Choke) at 2:33, R1
