Kelvin Gastelum won a season of TUF, and has managed to amass a good amount of wins since then. But for some reason he’s thus far failed to garner more chatter among fans. Maybe it’s due in part to his failing to make weight and then losing a split decision to Tyron Woodley back in January. Maybe it’s also due to the fact that he’s far less exciting than, say, Uriah Hall, who he beat out to become a TUF winner. Either way, Gastelum is a rock-solid fighter who just doesn’t seem to resonate. What do you do with someone like that?

If you’re the UFC, you put him in the main event of a TUF Latin America 2 finale (a.k.a. UFC Fight Night 78) against Matt Brown. Brown has since dropped out due to injury, so that leaves Gastelum facing Neil Magny. Which is cool. Because whether you like him or not, you’ll still get to see the kid take care of business.

Here’s Gastelum taking care of business against Nate Marquardt.
