It’s hard to argue against the notion that Gegard Mousasi is elite. After all, he was a Strikeforce champ, and though he hasn’t quite gotten the push required by the UFC to “put him over”, he still manages to find himself in main- and co-main events of shows.

On September 27, the Iranian-born striker will be taking on TUF star Uriah Hall in the co-main of UFC Fight Night 75. Obviously, most of the questions center around Hall and whether or not he’s ready for the likes of Mousasi, whose resume reads like a Murderer’s Row of cagefighting badasses. But there’s storyline behind Mousasi, too – namely, that if a high-profile win in spectacular fashion can finally be the thing that puts him into title talk.

Is Mousasi capable of great and thrilling violence? He is. However, he’s also prone to tentativeness and being stifled because of it. If he can somehow shine against someone willing to trade with him though…

Anyway, here’s a video of Mousasi taking out Mark Munoz. Watch and enjoy.
