Rafeal Dos Anjos earned the biggest victory of his career at UFC Fight Night 27, defeating Donald Cerrone by unanimous decision in a meeting of lightweight contenders.

Cerrone took an early lead with his familiar Muay Thai attack, scoring with leg kicks from the outside at an advancing Dos Anjos in the first minutes. But Dos Anjos kept the pressure on, eventually landing a hard looping left to drop the “Cowboy.” Cerrone tried to recover and attacked with a triangle choke, but Dos Anjos was able to keep his posture and avoid the submission. Hard elbows in Cerrone’s guard punctuated the round for Dos Anjos.
