Zabit Magomedsharipov (hereafter, just Zabit) is 1-0 in the UFC, but he has yet to go through US Customs – draw your own conclusions on that one. Sheymon Moraes is making his Octagon debut… in China. Draw your own conclusions on that one, too.

Moraes has clearly got some striking and jiu-jitsu skills, but he’s going up against a Dagestani, so when Moraes comes out firing off kicks and straightforward boxing, Zabit is walking through them and winging all sorts of spinning kicks in reply. In no time Moraes is getting swept to the floor, and during a scramble Zabit straight-up suplexes him and starts manhandling him, alternating between all the positions on top and pounding away. The Dagestani takes the round for sure.

Round 2 is more of the same, with Zabit owning his foe pretty badly on the ground, smothering him with the pressure of a bitter cold morning in the Caucasus Mountains. Moraes attempts a few submissions from the bottom, but his life sucks right now.

In the third round Zabit is a little sporting and lets Moraes see some action on the feet. But then it’s time to end things, so Zabit drags him down again and again, and then soon mounts him, pounds him, and when Moraes tries to scramble, Zabit Anaconda Choke’s him.
