Welcome to CagedInsider’s coverage of UFC Fight Night 118, an event that came to us from Gdansk, Poland, and aired on glorious Fight Pass (i.e., my phone, my tablet, and whatever else I felt like watching it on). The event was headlined by longtime star Donald Cerrone against UK-based nobody Darren Till, but more on that later…

First, a prelim bout between Invicta FC graduate Aspen Ladd against Swede Lina Lansberg. This was Ladd’s UFC debut, whereas Lansberg was 1-1 in the Octagon.

The first round was all about clinch-work against the cage, which more or less Lansberg got the better of by virtue of her ability to keep Ladd against the fence, dodge takedown attempts, and land short punches and knees. It wasn’t terribly exciting, but Lansberg was racking up points.

However, it was another story entirely when Ladd got a takedown in Round 2. Settling into top position, and soon mount, Ladd rained down hell from above in the form of punches, and when it was clear Lansberg could do nothing but eat them, the ref jumped in.

Results: Aspen Ladd def. Lina Lansberg via TKO (Punches) at 2:33, R2
