UFC Fight Night 117 was supposed to feature a rematch between Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Ovince St. Preux, which may sound like an odd headlining choice for an event in Japan, but remember: Shogun was a star in PRIDE. They love him there. Unfortunately, the Brazilian had to bail due to injury, so the UFC got former contender Yushin Okami to take his place.

At one time, Okami was one of the best fighters out of Japan, he even challenged Anderson Silva for the belt. Too bad Father Time always has to come and make fighters old.

The bout opens with Okami shooting and OSP sprawling. It doesn’t take long for St. Preux to slip on the Von Flue Choke he’s seemingly mastered of late. And once he does… Okami goes to sleep.
