In a light-heavyweight division that’s starving for new stars, Misha Cirkunov has shined like a beacon, earning one KO and three submissions while climbing up the ranks. He’s facing Volkan Oezdemir in UFC Fight Night 109’s main event, and with this being Oezdemir’s second Octagon outing – his first had him edging past Ovince St. Preux via split decision – it’s a safe bet the UFC wants Cirkunov to get some exposure.

They waste no time mixing things up, with Oezdemir tagging Cirkunov with lefts and Cirkunov answering with a flurry. Oezdemir counters with a pinpoint accurate right hand to the dome… and Cirkunov is out like a light. Dang. That was quick.
