She came into UFC Fight Night 103 win-less in two UFC appearances, but apparently for Nina Ansaroff, having your champion girlfriend recently wreck Ronda Rousey in 48 seconds is a great motivator.
Taking on Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger, Ansaroff was as usual piercing with her kicks and susceptible to punches. Yet what the difference was what happened whenever Jones-Lybarger fell to the ground (from either having Ansaroff kick her legs out or just plain old slipping). For most of Round 1, Ansaroff played the slow game from within Jones-Lybarger’s guard, but Round 2 had her on Jones-Lybarger’s back like barnacle. It was all Jones-Lybarger could do to just stave off the choke.
Round 3 was a different story, though, as when Ansaroff took her back, she made the adjustments and got the tap.
There was probably celebrating in the Ansaroff/Nunes household last night.
