The UFC has announced that a special event will be held later this month, where the promotion’s complete 2015 schedule will be revealed.

“The Time is Now,” as the event has been titled, will be at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in the UFC’s hometown of Las Vegas. The event will be free to the public and is also to be streamed live at the UFC website.

The event will be the first of its kind — as never before has the UFC revealed a year’s schedule at once.

Among the MMA stars scheduled to be in attendance with UFC President Dana White are women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey (pictured above with White), light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, and middleweight champion Chris Weidman. Additionally, all the headliners of all the UFC events scheduled from December 20 to February 28 are said to appear: Lyoto Machida, CB Dollaway, Daniel Cormier, Conor McGregor, Dennis Siver, Anderson Silva, Nick Diaz, Vitor Belfort, and Cat Zingano.

According to the UFC, “a very special announcement” will also be made at “The Time is Now.” Speculation exists that the new drug testing protocol could be detailed, which was described here at Caged Insider back in August, or perhaps involve the rumored new uniforms to be worn by UFC fighters in the future.

The UFC’s next event is UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Bisping, this Friday in Australia; which is to be followed by UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. St. Preux on Saturday in Brazil.
