If you take a look at the UFC’s strawweight roster, you’ll see that, though there are a few Brazilian’s there, none of them are even remotely worthy of a title shot outside of Jessica Andrade. That obviously makes her the last hope Brazil has in getting a strawweight champion (at least for a while).

On Saturday, Andrade will be challenging champ Joanna Jędrzejczyk. Now, we know Jędrzejczyk is an expert at picking opponents apart until they’re barely-walking bloody messes, and it’s a safe bet that Andrade will get smacked around a bit. But will that “smacking around” preclude Andrade from pulling out the win?

It might. The only prediction I’ll make is that it will be violent.

Anyway, here’s Andrade in action.
