Welcome to CagedInsider’s liveblog coverage of UFC 201, a pay-per-view event that will culminate in champ Robbie Lawler doing mean and awful things to challenger Tyron Woodley’s face.

First up are the Fight Pass prelims, and in this one it’s Cesar Arzamendia against Damian Brown, a Paraguayan against an Aussie.

Arzamendia gets off on the right foot with a jumping roundhouse kick that elicits some cheers. He adds a jumping knee and some punches to the mix, but Brown ain’t having it, and he wades in with crisp boxing and drops Arzamendia with a right hand square on the jaw. The Paraguayan crumbles, and when Brown follows him down Arzamendia – on autopilot – goes for a heelhook that he very nearly gets.

Brown twists and turns and eventually escapes, and when they get back to their feet, he does it all over again with lefts and rights. This time when Arzamendia goes down Brown keeps bouncing his head off the canvas like a basketball, and it’s nighty-night.

Result: Damian Brown def. Cesar Arzamendia via KO (Punches) at 2:27, R1
