In theory, Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones are supposed to headline UFC 197. I say “in theory” because as of this moment we’re not 100% sure Jones will be out of jail in time for the April 23 pay-per-view event. But if he isn’t, and the UFC can’t find someone else for Cormier to scrap with, heck, that just means the co-main event – which features flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson defending his belt against Olympic wrestler Henry Cejudo – could get bumped up to marquee status.

*Cue groaning noises*

Yeah, the idea of “Mighty Mouse” replacing Jones as the star attraction doesn’t sound too great. But the fact of the matter is Johnson is very much one of the best, most skilled fighters in the world. Sure, he’s got zero star power, and because of his dominance, there has been no exciting movement in the 125-pound weight class whatsoever since its inception, but what can you do?
