Until Dominick Cruz had to be replaced by Urijah Faber, thereby turning the Cruz vs. Renan Barao’s bout scheduled for UFC 169 from a co-main event into a Barao vs. Faber main event, featherweight champ Jose Aldo was going to headline the card against challenger Ricardo Lamas. But just because Faber is more of a pay-per-view draw (and therefore more palatable as a main event) than Aldo doesn’t take away from the fact that the Brazilian is one of the most lethal fighters in the game. He is, without question, a killer in the cage, and capable of winning quick or waging a long, protracted war.
Here’s one such war Aldo had to fight to keep his belt: UFC 129’s co-main event against Mark Hominick. Enjoy.
