UFC 166 provided more than it’s fair share of edge of your seat grabbing moments, but earlier on there was a frightening situation, when TJ Waldburger left the Octagon on a stretcher. The welterweight was floored by Adlan Amagov early into the fight, and took a couple of hard shots before the referee jumped in.

Thankfully, it was revealed not long after that Waldburger was okay, and following the event it was announced that CT scans and additional tests were all negative. More recently, the 25 year-old vet took to Twitter to update his status, and reassure fans that he’ll be back in the cage soon.

The bout was Waldburger’s first in 2013, as the Texas fighter hadn’t fought since last December, when he choked out Nick Catone with a second round, triangle-choke. Waldburger has gone 4-3 to date in the Octagon and three of his four wins during that time have come via submission. It’s good to hear he’s okay.
