The UFC’s upcoming October 19th card in Houston, Texas has picked up another bout, as the promotion has confirmed that TJ Waldburger will throw down with Adlan Amagov at the event. The welterweight scrap is the ninth fight to be booked for the event, which will be hosted by Houston’s Toyota Center.

Waldburger (16-7) will be competing for the first time in 2013, as the Texas fighter hasn’t fought since last December, when he choked out Nick Catone with a second round, triangle-choke at the TUF 16 Finale. The 25 year-old vet has gone 3-2 in his last five bouts, with his only other defeat during that stretch coming against #1 contender Johny Hendricks.

Amagov (12-2-1) is also coming off a win, as the Chechen fighter scored a UD victory over Chris Spang at a UFC on FUEL card this past April. The 26 year-old, Jackson’s MMA fighter made his Octagon debut that night, after going 3-1 with Strikeforce. The only man to hand Amagov a loss in his last ten fights is UFC welterweight contender Robbie Lawler.

So, not too many spots are remaining on the UFC 166 card, which will feature heavyweight champ Cain Velaquez taking on Junior dos Santos for a third time. In the co-headliner, Daniel Cormier will battle Roy Nelson. The event will also see former Strikeforce lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez take on Diego Sanchez. The UFC fall schedule is looking pretty sweet.
