It was a successful return to her native Brazil for Salvador’s Amanda “Lioness” Nunes, who made quick work of Germany’s Sheila Gaff at UFC 163’s sixth bout.

The bantamweight bout was not competitive, as Nunes enjoyed a considerable physical advantage and seemed to toss Gaff about from the opening bell. Gaff tried to scramble to Nunes’ back at one point but was shrugged off. A takedown cornered Gaff into the cage midway through the round, and one felt the end was near.

At 2:08 repeated elbows prompted referee Herb Dean call a halt to the action. Gaff has now lost both her UFC bouts and her MMA record falls to 10-6. Nunes improves to 8-3.

Amanda Nunes defeats Sheila Gaff by T/KO, 2:08 of round one at UFC 163.
