UFC 162 has just added a heavyweight showdown, as Dave Herman is set to take on Shane Del Rosario.

Both men have failed to find success in the octagon lately and will look to bounce back and secure their job.

Herman is 6-4 in his last ten fights, and is currently riding a three fight losing streak. All three losses have been finishes, two via punches by the hands of Stefan Struve and Roy Nelson, and most recently an armbar by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira last October in Brazil. After the UFC 153 defeat Herman tested positive for Marijuana and was suspended six months. The suspension was lifted this month and he will finally be able to make his return to the octagon.

Del Rosario held an impressive undefeated record of 11-0 before making his UFC debut last May, all of which being first round finishes. However, the 29-year-old failed to make a successful UFC debut being finished in the second round due to elbow strikes delivered by Stipe Miocic. Del Rosario was given another shot against Pat Barry at The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale last December in Las Vegas. He once again failed to deliver being knocked out by Barry in the second round.

Expect the loser of this bout to be cut or to be very close to the chopping block.

UFC 162 will take place on July 6th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will be headlined by Anderson Silva, as he squares off with Chris Weidman.
