After an entertaining night of fights from start to finish, the UFC awarded four fighters with bonuses for a job well done at UFC 160.

Junior dos Santos and Mark Hunt engaged in an incredible standing exchange until Junior unleashed a spectacular spinning kick to the top of Hunt’s head and put a final end to the contest with follow-up punches. For their epic warfare, they were each rewarded with “Fight of the Night” and an extra $50,000 for their wallets.

“Knockout of the Night”, to no real surprise, was given to T.J. Grant for his handiwork in a one-sided pounding of Gray Maynard. The Canadian connected on a straight right that staggered Maynard, followed with more punches, and finally put the nail in the coffin with a last right hand. While he made an extra $50,000 for the beat-down, he also earned the next shot at Ben Henderson’s lightweight title with the win.

The last bonus, “Submission of the Night”, was awarded to Glover Teixeira for making quick work of James Te Huna in their light heavyweight battle. With a heavy grappling edge, Teixeira did as many expected and submitted the inferior grappler with a guillotine, expending little effort and earning himself a cool $50,000 for his trouble. The win justified his current ranking and further solidified him as a worthy candidate for a possible future title shot.
