Wow. That’s probably the best adjective available to describe this conference call to end all conference calls.

Usually when it comes to these kind of things involving Nick Diaz, the question is always whether or not he’ll bother to show up, and on this occasion it was thought he hadn’t, but boy were we glad that he did.

On the call were UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, his opponent next week Nick Diaz, Dana White (for about a minute), Carlos Condit (who left after not getting a word in), Johny Hendricks and also Jake Ellenberger and Nate Marquardt. Yet they needn’t have shown up, as this was the GSP/Diaz Show.

It was classic Diaz, with GSP not holding back in giving back almost as good as he got from his rival. It was hands down the greatest verbal joust in the history of UFC conference calls. Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen don’t even come into question.

All that’s left to do is just listen and enjoy and get more hyped for next weekend’s awesome UFC 158 main event more than any UFC Countdown show could dream of.
