Injuries continue to plague the organization as Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is reportedly forced to remove himself from his bout against Glover Teixeira at UFC 153 in Brazil. Jackson’s injury is  undisclosed at this time.

The bout was expected to be Jackson’s final UFC appearance after a fallout between himself and the UFC. 33-year-old Jackson had recently told the media that he was recovering from surgery on both knees and was expecting to healthy for his upcoming bout.

The news couldn’t be worse for Glover Teixeira and the UFC. The 32-year-old was hoping to showcase his skills with a second showing in the UFC after making quick work of Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 146 via triangle in the first. The organization and press had hinted that Teixeira may be a legitimate threat to dominant champ Jon Jones, but would be in need of more exposure in order to sell the fight.Teixeira stands undefeated since early 2005 and has only eluded the UFC in the past due to Visa issues.

No word as to if Teixeira will stay on the card as it stands now.
