Junior dos Santos (14-1) will likely make his first title defense against the bulked Alistair Overeem (36-11) May 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada said UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta via twitter.

Champ, Junior dos Santos has looked unstoppable as he went 8-0 in the UFC heavyweight division, including five coming by knockout.

The vacating Strikeforce heavyweight champ, Overeem has also been almost flawless seven of his last eight bouts coming by KO or submission. Overeem has not tasted defeat since 2007.

Overeem has had his brush with the law recently however, as a female patron at a Vegas Night Club recently accused Alistair of striking her. The crime, if found guilty can carry a six-month incarceration.  UFC president White has commented however that it does not look to be a serious issue and should not effect the bout.

The event will be paired alongside the popular UFC Fan Expo, as the promotion returns to Las Vegas, NV, which will likely take place once again in the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
