The biggest announcement of the press conference had to be that TUF will no longer air on Fridays. They were not too specific about why the show was moving. They touched on Spike TV’s tactics and the general confusion they have been trying to cause by playing reruns, counter-programming FX premieres. They spoke on how the coaches are the best cast they will have ever had, and the confidence they have in the brand to UFC President Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta, but no exact reason was given.

Spike TV losses the rights to old TUF seasons at the end of the year, and did not rule out competing against the new Bellator show that will be on Spike. If one thing is for sure, the media call proved that FOX is firmly behind the show, despite the low.
