Look, I’m not going to pretend to know a damn thing about these two TUF finalists, so let’s just go with it and appreciate this bout as just one of many that promises violence.

Repping Peru and clearly more confident in his skills on the ground, Claudio Puelles comes out mixing kicks, punching and spinning backfists with takedown attempts. Unfortunately for him, Mexican scrapper Martin Bravo has got his takedown defence down pat, so every time Puelles tries to get things horizontal, it’s a big no-go. By the end of the round, Bravo has cracked Puelles in the nose and left him bloody, and he clocks him with a hard right before the horn.

Round 2 has Puelles still wanting it on the mat, and though he catches Bravo’s kicks, he still lacks the necessary wrestling skills to get things where he wants them. Bravo, meanwhile, takes a chunk out of his opponent’s hide with a body blow, and when Puelles goes down Bravo rains down hell for the TKO.
