There are fighters who cut the line because they have star power and can talk well when a microphone is stuck in their face, and then there are fighters who have to chip away at the rankings until they’ve carved out a place for themselves.

Beneil Dariush is of the latter. And on Saturday, at the TUF Latam 3 Finale, he gets another crack at making his presence known when he takes on Rashid Magomedov. Sure, Magomedov hasn’t yet lost in the Octagon, but Dariush has been banging on the ceiling of the B-class trying to break into the exclusive club of the elites, and an impressive win on Saturday… well, it would be good for him.
