The first FUEL TV event set to take place next year will come on February 16th, and while no venue has been lined up yet, it is proposed to take place internationally. The first Fuel card of the new year actually makes for a running start for the UFC as they will host six events in seven weekends. It starts off with UFC on FX 7 on January which plays host to a middleweight match-up between Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort, and it ends with the last two new events announced for next year.

The second UFC pay-per-view event of next year also takes place in February, but at the end of the month on the 23rd. It is officially set to take place in Anaheim, California at the Honda Center. This is the same place that hosted the first ever Fox event in 2011 where Junior Dos Santos captured the heavyweight title from Cain Velasquez. The proposed headliner may be Dan Henderson versus Lyoto Machida since Henderson is not sure his knee will be ready for the super bowl weekend card.

Even if Dan’s knee is not ready by the 23rd, he could fight a week later at the second Fuel event of 2013. This could makes sense, considering the card is taking place in Japan and Henderson was a huge star in Japan during his Pride days. Regardless, there is another former Pride star that has asked to be on this card after his last win. None other than former Pride lightweight champion Takanori Gomi has asked to be on the Japanese card after defeating Mac Danzig in his last fight. Here’s how 2013 is looking so far for the UFC.
