Michael “The Count” Bisping defeats Jorge Rivera with superior technical striking against the fence in mid-round two. Here is the live play by play.

Round One:
Neither man touches glovesĀ  and they come out pumped with Rivera throwing a missed right hook. Bisping gets a double leg and Rivera pops up right away. Jorge catches Bisping on the chin with a straight right combination. Bisping gets another takedown and on the way up Bisping strikes a knee to the downed Rivera. The referee takes a point. Rivera comes back and lands a punch. Rivera ducks under a 2 punch combo. Bisping gets another takedown and lands some punches from the half-guard and on the way up and the round ends. Both men trash talking on the way back to their corners.

Round Two:
The two trade leg kicks. Rivera catches a big right on Bisping and he goes down. Rivera tries to chase down the injured Bisping but Bisping is able to pop up and recover. Rivera stuffs a takedown but has Rivera against the fence and Bisping mixes it up to the face and stomach and Jorge goes down to a knee. Referee stops the fight as Rivera is unable to respond.

Bisping now holds an impressive 21-3 record, with 12 of his wins coming via knockout. This is now Bisping’s third win in a row, with his last fight being against Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 120, where he beat the Japanese fighter via decision.
