Yoshihiro Akiyama will have to wait a little longer to see if he can turn his record around after a 4 fight losing streak. As of right now, it’s not known what Akiyama’s injury is, but his replacement might even make for a more interesting fight. Siyar Bahadurzada will be replacing Akiyama against Thiago Alves. For those of you that don’t know who Siyar is, he’s the one who knocked out Paulo Thiago in under a minute at UFC on FUEL 2.

Thiago Alves is coming off a devastating loss against Martin Kampmann, a fight he appeared to be winning. Ever since losing his shot for the belt against, GSP he has been unable to string together two wins in a row. Alves will most likely try to start another win streak with this fight, but Siyar is not one to take lightly.

This fight will be one for the fans, as both fighters are known for their powerful punches. They have a combined record of 22 TKO or KO finishes in their 40 MMA wins. This is not a fight to miss.
