It’s official! UFC 147 will indeed be taking place in Brazil this June 23rd. Early today, the UFC announced Silva vs. Sonnen II will be held in Rio’s Engenhao Stadium, which can hold up to 60,000 people.

The Engenhao is usually used as a soccer stadium for the Botafogo football club. Dana White originally targeted a stadium that could hold around 80,000 fans, but settled on Enganhao, which holds 20,000 less.

Regardless if there is a slight loss in crowd space, the Brazilian fans will make it feel like there is at least 100,000 people filling the stands, as the event is expected to be one of the biggest rematches the UFC has ever held.
