Denver, Colorado – It was a grappler’s affair in the middleweight division between fighters Ed Herman and Jake Shields at UFC 150 in the Pepsi Center. After three rounds of grueling wrestlings, the higher level jiu-jitsu specialist, Jake Shields pulled out the victory. Not the most exciting fight, UFC president Dana White was quick to tweet his disapproval with the former Strikeforce champs first win in his move up.

During his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Shields was quick to say he was embarrassed with his cardio in the bout. Though he spent most time on top of Herman grinding out the win, he was unable to finish any submission attempts against the Colorado native, likely due to the fact that he was unable to acclimate to the high altitudes of Colorado.
