According to a combination of reports from both Joe Rogan and Dave Meltzer, the UFC is looking to put Ronda Rousey on the annual Fourth of July weekend card from Las Vegas.

While most would feel the idea is for Rousey to face either Alexis Davis, Cat Zingano or possibly Cris Cyborg, Meltzer is saying it could be Gina Carano.

Carano has not fought since losing to Cyborg several years ago in Strikeforce, as she has become a Hollywood figure instead. Rousey, of course, is juggling an acting career with being the UFC female bantamweight champion.

Carano, 31 years old, is 7-1 in her MMA career. She was finished by Cyborg in the first round back in 2009. Prior to that, she had defeated the likes of Kaitlin Young, Julie Kedzie and Rosi Sexton.
